The Kent Firewater Elevator Trench Channel is designed to be installed in front of the elevator shaft thereby evacuating the firewater that could otherwise cascade into the shaft in an emergency. These Kent and Sioux Chief Stainless Trenches are interchangeable and made in the same factory.
This channel is made to order and can take any desired flow rate using 1 or 2 4” bottom outlets—these can be increased to 6” or 8” bottom outlets when required. The standard design shown is for 100 US Gallons per minute. A typical configuration is shown here in a 3 1/2 ft length with a single 4” bottom outlet.
This trench is fully manufactured from g304 stainless steel and is available in Grade 316L. The channel is supplied with fully welded end plates and an ADA Compliant and Slip Resistant grating.
SFFC Code, Section 511.1 requires a 100 GPM flow rate.
This product is available in the USA through the Sioux Chief Distribution Network under the Kent Stainless and Sioux Chief Brand
